Hlabla Nkunzi was the first leopard we ever saw in the wild. On game reserves in South Africa they name the leopards that habituate their territory. This beautiful cat was perched in the tree taking a break from protecting her kill from hyenas that had come in during the night. She was able to keep her meal save, hoisted high in the tree above them.
