Wild Horse Day Tour - year round

In the west desert of Utah, wild horses roam the vast desert landscape. There are multiple herds in the west desert; while some are skittish and shy, and only viewable from a distance with binoculars some seem to be habituated to the presence of humans and cars.  I have watched small bands of horses grazing from afar and have parked to watch a herd grazing 20 feet from my vehicle.  I have been lucky enough to spend days surrounded by over 200 horses observing the fascinating behavior of herd dynamics.

Our tour will start early  in the morning and includes transportation from the meeting site to the desert to look for horses. This tour could take anywhere from 6 - 8 hours.

We will make a convenience stop for a break on our way out to the desert and will stop for a late lunch/snack on our way back from the desert.  There are no services in the desert although there are vault toilets at several locations in the desert. I will provide water on our tour.  Any snacks or drinks beyond what is provided and lunch, etc are your cost. At the end of the day, I will drop you back at our prearranged meeting place.

As always with wildlife there are no guaranteed sightings.

Day trip - approximately 6 - 8 hrs - $375 for 1 - 2 people, $500 for 3. Three people is the maximum I will take out in a day.

Please fill out  the form below with the dates you would like to do a tour  in the message section and we will get back to you as soon as we confirm scheduling.
